Favorite Makeup Products Under 10 Part 2

OK – so I survived….but just didn’t have my ish together to post on Wednesday or Thursday….so here we are on Fri-YAY!

If you don’t know what in the hell I’m talking about, check out my post from Tuesday.

It wasn’t nearly as bad as I had built it up in my mind to be…
BUT….if you know me, nothing is exactly as “easy” as it should be!

It only took me oh, about an HOUR to get numb….I had 8-10 shots in my jaw and a few in both sides of my gums below my tooth.  So…needless to say, I’m pretty sore!
Also, after they got into the procedure, I started bleeding for a good 30 minutes before they could get it stopped.  I joked with the endodontist at the time that I was going to be that asshole patient that caused some issues, and I didn’t let him down!  He said that he typically has a root canal that’s this difficult once or twice a year….well…I hit it for being #1 for the year!
But, I survived and he was great and after all those shots I was freaking NUMB.

So now I have to go back to my regular dentist for a crown (OH YAY!) which means two separate appointments, more shots and drilling!  AND MONEY?!  Can we just talk about the money for a second?!  I am SOO fortunate that we have dental insurance because OMG…we would be broke!
Good thing I don’t work where I used to because they were too
freaking cheap for dental insurance – haha!

Ok – I’m sure you’re really tired of hearing about my dental diaries right now!

Lets get on to the good stuff!

So the other day I talked about my favorite makeup products under $10 – which I had originally intended to be only one post, but I just like too much crap I guess – and I ran out of time and wanted to go ahead and get the first part published…so today I want to focus on mascara and lip products that won’t break the bank!

Revlon Volume + Length Magnified Mascara

Price – $5 to $7 at most stores

I think that this might be one of my top favorites for what I would consider “budget” mascaras.  I actually got this for free because there was a coupon a few months ago.  I have the Blackest Black color and it really does add volume and length and makes my lashes look much thicker.

Loreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara

Price – $7 – $10 in most stores

This mascara has quickly become one of my favorite affordable mascaras.  I really like the wand shape and I’ve started to get rather picky about the wands.
I thought that I liked the rubber-type wands, but I’ve found that I seem to get the best results out of the bristle type brushes.
This mascara is also cool because on the one side it has a lash primer that really pumps up the volume, then the mascara on the other side, so for your money, this is a double-duty product.

Maybelline Great Lash

Price – $4 to $6 at most stores

This mascara was my ride-or-die mascara in high school and college, and I think that you really get your bang for your buck with this mascara!
I haven’t used it in quite a while, so I need to get a new tube and start using it again!

Milani Cosmetics Color Statement Lipstick

Price – $5 to $7 in most stores

This lipstick formulation is one of my favorites.  This gives the perfect amount of color without being drying.
These are super affordable and typically I pick up a few whenever CVS has them BOGO 50% off!

Milani Cosmetics Amore “Mattalics” Lip Cremes

Price – $8 to $10

THESE LIPSTICKS.  I. JUST. CANT.  When I first heard of the metallic lip trend, I was like “oh hell yeah anything blingy” but then I realized that a most of these were going to be liquid lipstick products.
I personally have a love/hate relationship with liquid lipsticks.  Some look great on me…others look TERRIBLE.  I was pretty skeptical about these to be honest, but I saw them and thought I’d try them.  I only have found 2 colors so far, but let me just say.  I AM ADDICTED!  These are so pigmented and dry down super quickly but don’t look dry or cakey.  My obsession right now is the color Chromatic Addict (which is pictured above).  I will take a darker lipstick for my base, then add Chromatic Addict on top of it and it created the perfect, shimmery metallic lip.  This formula doesn’t move for HOURS, and I like the wand also because it’s flat where you swipe on your lip, but pointed where you need it to carve our your lip.  I honestly can’t say enough about these (as you can tell)!  Only down side – of course it’s only a limited edition.  I seem to fall in love with anything that’s a limited edition lately.

NYX Cosmetics Butter Gloss

Price – $4 to $6 in most stores

This is one of the best affordable lip glosses out there.  I am pretty picky when it comes to lip gloss.  I can’t stand any products that are super tacky and these definitely aren’t.
They really have the perfect name because they feel like butter on your lips.
Creme Brulee is my current favorite right now because you can pretty much wear the color over anything and it looks perfect!

Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue

Price – $3 to $5 in most stores

This is by far the best chap stick/lip tint that I have been using lately.  I live off of this stuff and it lasts FOREVER!
If you’re looking for a product that rejuvenates your lips and feels amazing, this is it!

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lips

Price – $6 each

When ColourPop Cosmetics was having a 20% off flash sale the other week, I decided to buy a few of these to try and I. LOVE. THEM!
These have a great formula for a liquid lip, and as I’ve said above, I have a love/hate relationship with liquid lipsticks, but I really like this formula.
Honestly – you can’t beat the price of these either!  There are other brands of liquid lipsticks that run about $20 each, so this is a great deal!

ColourPop Lippie Stix

Price – $ 5 each

I ordered a few of these last month and I am really liking them.  I like how convenient they are that I can just throw a few in a zippered pouch in my purse and they don’t take up a ton of room.
The color payoff for these are great too.
ColourPop is really killing the lipstick game right now and they keep coming out with new colors quite frequently.
At $5 each, you can’t go wrong!

Well…I think that’s all for now!

I hope that everyone has a great Friday!
It looks like the weather here in North Carolina is going to be PERFECT for this weekend!
I am honestly looking forward to it after all of this extremely hot and humid weather that we’ve been having this past week!
Enjoy your day!
