March Ipsy Bag

MARCH IPSY BAG

In the spirit of all things makeup, I’d like to share with you a beauty subscription that I’ve been subscribing to for about 2 years or so.
You’re probably thinking – why in the world am I showing the March bag in April?
Well, in the spirit of keeping it real, it’s the only one I have photographed at this moment.
As former Carolina Panthers Coach John Fox said ALL. THE. TIME. – “It is what it is”.

With that said, here are the items that I received in my March Ipsy bag!

If you aren’t familiar with Ipsy, here’s a few things to know:

You get 4-5 deluxe sample sizes a month in a cute reusable bag (as pictured above) for $10 + tax!
There are months where you may luck up and receive a full size beauty product.
When you sign up, you will complete a quiz that asks you what types of brands you’re familiar with, what you’re interested in, skin tone, eyes, hair color, etc.
Around the 10th of every month, the bags start shipping out (shipping is free in the US by the way).
The bags come in a pretty hot pink foil bubble envelope.
Not everyone gets the same items or colors in their bags, but it seems to equal the same amount across the board.

I think that might be all there is to know about Ipsy bags, but if I’ve missed something or you have any questions, feel free to hit me up on ANY of my multiple social media links located on this page.

The first item in the box is the Nudestix Lip + Cheek Pencil in Mystic

I was really intrigued by this product when I saw it in my box because it’s a double-duty product that you can use on your lips and cheeks.
I will have to be honest – I am not typically a fan of cream blushes, so I will just have to play with this and see if it’s something that I would use on my cheeks or not.

I was super excited to see this next product in my bag!  It’s the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Hydrating Primer.
In the winter, my skin tends to dry out, so I think that this would be the perfect primer for the winter for me.
In the summer, I typically have oily skin and have to stick with something that will control the glow, so I have
been looking into this primer from Make Up Forever
(Yes – I know this is not technically how they spell it as a company, but I have OCD about things and this is the way I’m spelling it).

The next thing in the bag is First Aid Beauty Hydrating Repair Serum.
I have not heard of this brand before, so I will try this out and if I feel that it’s truly amazing, I will share that with you.
I do like the fact that it says that it’s safe for sensitive skin as I am sometimes prone to breakouts.
When it comes to skincare that’s available at the store, I’m probably not the best person to talk to regarding those products.

DISCLAIMER (SOAPBOX COMING):  I am very loyal to my current skincare regimen with Rodan + Fields.
I’m not just saying that because I sell it – I honestly couldn’t get behind a product and sell it if I didn’t believe in it, and R+F products have
made the ultimate transformation in my skin.  Want to learn more?  I would be happy to talk to you about that.

In the spirit of honesty, I am not using this blog just to help me sell R+F, so I want to make sure my readers don’t feel like I am just trying to make a quick buck!

OK – back to the makeup stuff!

I was SUPER excited to see this brush when I opened my bag this month. This is the  Luxie 223 Short Shader Brush.
I have become obsessed with makeup brushes lately and I was excited to see this brand because I’ve heard so much about them, but hadn’t tried it yet.
I’m here to say, I’ve used it, and I. LOVE. IT.
I didn’t have a brush like this, so this was perfect.  I will also do a blog post featuring my favorite brushes.
I am not someone who likes to spend a ton of money on makeup brushes, but I can share with you the essentials that are reasonably priced!

And finally, I somehow got lucky and got two of these masks this month.  I’m not sure if I just lucked up or what, but I’m excited to try this!
This is the Global Beauty Inc. Collagen Spa Treatment Mask
I will be sure to document when I try this product on my Instagram, so make sure to follow and I will let you know my thoughts!

That wraps up the post for today, but stay tuned for more beauty subscription “unboxings” next week!

DISCLAIMER:  I am not sponsored by Ipsy and they have no clue who I am.  I just enjoy their beauty subscription and I wanted to share it with you all!
