Something New….Something Blue…

With the hectic times and craziness of life, I think sometimes that we all forget to do
what genuinely makes us happy!  I know the last few weeks that I have been
in that boat!  It’s crazy how life can get so, well, for lack of a better term…

I honestly don’t know how I had time for an 8-5 job before…but then again, I am
doing much more rewarding things now and enjoying what I do!

People say — well, what do you do?  You don’t work?
Honestly…I “work” much more now than I did when I “worked”.
Maintaining a house and yard is difficult.  Being an adult is difficult.
Who ever told us that growing up was a good thing?
I’d personally like to give them a piece of my mind!
But, I digress…

One thing that some of you know about me, but some probably don’t is that I started my own
jewelry business on Etsy a few years ago named The Coral Dahlia
hence…now you see where I so creatively (sarcasm of course) came up with this blogs name!

I wanted to do something that when I left the office for the day, I could come home
and work on to decompress…and take my mind off of all of the days crap!
I started looking at some of the pieces of jewelry that I owned and realized that
it can’t be THAT difficult.
Well, I’m here to tell you – nothing is EVER as easy
as seems in your mind…but that doesn’t make it any less rewarding!

I honestly love making jewelry and I enjoy putting each piece together!
I love doing vendor set-ups and pop-up boutiques where I can see the excitement
and joy on my customers faces when they find a piece that really speaks to them!

With that said – the title of this post is “Something New….Something Blue”

With it being May – we are in PRIME wedding season!  Are you a Bride?  Do you know a Bride-to-Be?

I’m guessing that about 75% of those reading this post are invited to a wedding at some point this year…so, today, I’d like to share with you a few of my favorite pieces
that I’ve created with brides in mind!

I think these pieces would be fun for a shower, rehearsal dinner, honeymoon,
and heck, even the wedding day, whether you’re the Bride, bridal party, or guest!

These are some of my current favorites!

When I am looking to design a piece of jewelry, I typically like to stick with one metal piece,
in combination with a colored jewel to keep a streamlined, classic look!

I also like to keep my items as lightweight as possible because no one
likes to wear super heavy earrings!

I have many more items listed in the shop, and many more pieces that
are waiting to be photographed!

I am, by no means, an expert jewelry designer…I learned how to make
these items on my own, and am learning new things all the time.
I am hoping to incorporate more beaded and tassel items to my shop in the near future,
so if you’re interested in that, stay tuned!

What are your favorite styles of jewelry?  Are you a simple, classic person, or are you a statement piece person?  Anything you’d like to see me make?
Let me know in the comments!
